mic, 2016 04 15: There is a bit of a mishmash in the use of decibels in Orinj. In certain places, Orinj uses the signal amplitude computation of decibels (20 log(value, 10)). In other places, the software uses the signal power computation of decibels (10 log(value, 10)). This in itself will not cause any errors, but we should be consistent.

mic, 2015 04 18: This was fixed with version 2.5.4 of Orinj. The fix was uploaded to this site on April 15, 2016. With this fix, we also expanded the allowed volume settings during mixing. Up to now, the user could only change the volume of tracks, etc. by +- 20 dB. This, with the proper computation of decibels, amounts to a gain multiple of 10 to 0.1, which sometimes does not have sufficient impact. The user can now change volumes by +-40 dB, which is gain multiple of 100 to 0.01.
