Content contributions, moderation, spam

If you want to contribute to RecordingBlogs.com, you can. Here is how:

  • Comment on content: Anyone can do it. We obviously appreciate it.
  • Post on the forums: You must register, but registration is simple and does not require much info – a user name and an e-mail address. As a matter of our policy, we will not send you e-mails, unless you ask to be notified (e.g., about responses to your own comments).
  • Write guest blog posts: Sure. We have had these in the past, including very useful ones.
  • Write your own blog posts: It is doable, but you would need our permission to do it. E-mail us.

You can write about anything that fits the topic of this site (music, recording, etc.). As long as, again, it is a real useful post.

About moderation: We moderate everything, including forum posts and comments. We wish we did not have to. We do.

Thus, it may be a bit before your content shows up. We check and approve new content often though.

About spam: We wanted users of RecordingBlogs.com to be able to contribute their own material – write blogs and edit wiki pages. That invites a lot of spam, such as posts on topics that do not belong on this site. Now, the way to do it is through our moderation.
