Kludgemaster, 2016 08 25: How do I generate a click track?
mic, 2016 08 25: You can, but probably not the way you are thinking and probably not in the most straightforward way.
You cannot generate a pure click track in the session. What you can do is go to the view for building drum loops and build yourself a simple drum loop. Mix that drum loop to a wave file. Import that wave file in your session and loop it many times. This will be your click track.
This is all explained here: Orinj Getting started
Just FYI: A drum track is not the best click track. Specifically, it could create problems for the drummer. Most "clicks" are loud, high-pitched, and annoying so that they can be heard over the drums when a drummer is recording. If you just use a drum track, the drummer may not be able to hear it under the drummer's own drums. There is a roundabout way to deal with that: use a high-pitched annoying click in your drum loop (there isn't one there now; I suppose we should put one, but you can also put one there yourself). Again, good suggestions...
