The following are the changes between Orinj version 4.0.5 and version 4.0.6

  • Added the option to fade the ends of wave blocks in the session in or out. This is useful if the wave blocks were cut from a larger wave and, because of that, there are audible pops in the sound where the cut wave starts or ends. The commands for fading are in the menu and in the right-click pop up menu for the blocks. Fading has no effect on MIDI files, but is designed to work on waves and loops
  • Made sure that undo for muting blocks and fading the ends of blocks properly checks or unchecks the corresponding menus
  • Fixed a bug when closing MIDI files that would cause Orinj to freeze if there were no other MIDI files to be shown
  • Made sure that the Save As dialogs for saving waves and loops respectively in the single wave view and loop building view start with the correct file name
  • Fixed a bug when saving a new loop that would not call on Save As, even though the loop is new
  • Fixed a bug when saving waves in the single wave view to properly choose the original file name for saving
  • Made sure the closing of wave does not crash when Orinj cannot delete temporary files
  • Made sure MIDI markers show up on opening a file
  • Made sure the right markers are shown when closing files in the MIDI roll view and single wave view
  • Made sure a wave in the single wave view file is marked as not saved when adding a marker
  • Fixed a bug that would push all markers in the MIDI roll view to the beginning of the MIDI file
  • Fixed a bug that would cause markers in the MIDI roll view to double
  • Changed how markers are added in all views, so that clicking on Cancel in the dialog that shows up does not add a marker, but OK does. This also solves an issue where a couple of undo actions are added than simply undoing the adding of a marker
  • Making sure that the installation MIDI file default.mid is not added to the recent MIDI files in the MIDI menu on clicking on File and then New. Also made sure that the user cannot work directly with default.mid, so that the Orinj installation does not change
  • Fixed a bug in the removing of markers from MIDI files so that only one marker is removed at a time, consistent with the logic of the software
  • Fixed a bug in the single wave view that would prevent waves from getting pushed to the beginning of the recent wave menus and might not end up in the recent wave menus at all
  • Making sure files are added to the recent menus only once when opening files and when opening recent files (in the MIDI roll view, single wave view, and loop building view)
