Release of Orinj version 4.2.2

This version includes a couple of important bug fixes and a lot of usability changes. Here are the differences between this version 4.2.2 and the previous version 4.2.1 of Orinj.

• Fixed a bug, because of which a wave file can get deleted when exiting resulting in loss of sound data. This bug appeared in the single wave view if the user added a marker to the wave, but decided not to save the wave when exiting
• Made sure that Orinj works correctly when the user tries to open MIDI files and loop files that are already opened, especially if changed in Orinj. Previous versions would produce errors in the file itself and in the recent file menus
• Enabled up, down, page up, and page down buttons for scrolling up and down in the multitrack session, MIDI roll view, and loop building view

Changed the time line in the multitrack session, MIDI roll view, and single wave view. In previous versions, there were always five small notches between large notches with time labels and so these small notches did not correspond to what the labels represented (e.g., in this version, there is only one notch between the labels 4.2 and 4.4 seconds; there are two notches, if the labels show 4.2 seconds and 4.5 seconds; and so on). This makes the timeline easier to work with

• Changed how the volume, pan, dry mix, and wet mix controls worked in the track control panels to the left of tracks in the multitrack session, single wave view, and loop building view
  • Changes to the text values in these controls change playback. In prior versions, the user had to press ENTER or move the focus away to change playback
  • Pressing ENTER in these controls in the multitrack session or loop building view will pull up the volume or other dialogs as appropriate
  • With these changes and with fixes to using the TAB key to move between controls, it is now easier to use only the keyboard. The user does not have to always resort to the mouse
  • Up, down, page up, and page down buttons when in the controls will now change the values of the controls
  • The volume, pan, dry mix, and wet mix dialogs will close when pressing ENTER
• Simplified the switching between waves and MIDI files in the single wave view and the MIDI roll view when selecting files, closing them, or opening them
  • Fixed bugs when setting the controls to the left of the track in the single wave view and loop building view when switching between waves and loop files
  • Fixed a bug when setting the dry and wet mix envelopes and the wave title when switching between waves in the single wave view
  • Fixed bugs in markers when switching between files in all three views
  • Fixed bugs to respect temporary files when switching
• Fixed a bug, because of which changing the sliders in the left portion in the single wave view did not affect playback
• Fixed a bug, because of which the user could add a marker to the single wave view even if there were no open waves
• Simplified how loop tracks are cleared when starting a new loop or when using the Clear command of the menu
• Simplified the handling of the mouse over sliders in the track control panel to the left of the track in the single wave view
• Made small changes to the graph of the phase oscilloscope, so that labels are better positioned and the graph is centered when the dialog is resized
• Changed the conversion of MIDI files to waves files so that Orinj asks only once whether to save the resulting wave file
• Fixed up the opening of loop files, so the last open loop file is the one that shows up on top when the user decides to select a different loop file to view in the loop building view
• Made sure that clicking on the wave name in the loop track selects the track as the current one
• Fixed the TAB order of the dialogs on the left in all four views so that the user can use the TAB key to move between controls. Made sure that moving between controls selects the right track in the multitrack session and the loop building view
• In general, made sure that the correct track is selected in the multitrack session and the loop building view whenever the controls in the track control panels to the left are used. Also made sure that the view is scrolled whenever a new track was selected, if the view needed to scroll up or down
• Made a minor fix to the colors of what was selected and deselected over a track in the multitrack session
• Fixed up the spacing and alignment of volume, dB, pan, percent, dry mix and similar labels in the track control panels to the left of tracks in the multitrack session, single wave view, and loop building view. Made sure that double-clicking on these labels pulls up the appropriate dialog (volume, pan, etc.) without highlighting the labels
• Fixed up the labels in the view times panel at the bottom of Orinj for other languages
• Fixed up the L and R labels for the pan control in other languages, in the track control panels to the left of the track in the multitrack session, loop building view, and single wave view
• Fixed up the labels in the compressor dialog in other languages
