Forums:

The changes between version 5.0.3 and this version 5.0.4 are mostly minor usability fixes.

  • Added a check to lock the Q factor (see Equalizer) when changing frequency and width in the notch filter, band pass filter, and band stop filter
  • Changed the notch filter to use sliders that are exponential, which is how we hear frequencies
  • Changed some effects to speed up the effect dialogs when moving sliders: bass chorus, chorus, delay, echo, flanger, multitap delay, phaser, vibrato and tremolo
  • Fixed tracks that are soloed and muted at the same time: they would show up as not muted (not gray), but would not produce sound. With the fix, they will produce sound
  • Fixed the moving of sound blocks up and down the tracks when volume and other envelopes are visible over the block. Before the fix, some blocks would jump too far up or down in the tracks
  • Fixed a small error when moving a block from one muted track to another muted track (the block would show as unmuted)
  • Fixed errors in volume and other envelopes when removing blocks (i.e., made sure the envelopes end at the end of sound in the track)
  • Put some error checks on the drawing of waves and loop files (to avoid potential freezing)
  • Fixed the TAB key order in the track control panels in the loop building view, which was not working
  • Also fixed the TAB key in the track control panels in the loop building view and multitrack view to stop the screen (scrolling) from jumping around in some cases
  • Fixed the zooming out of the multitrack session to make sure the view is centered around the play cursor (the vertical yellow line) when appropriate
  • Fixed the opening of existing sessions to set the time at the bottom of Orinj to the time of the cursor
