Forums:

The following are the changes between the previous version 9.0.2 of Orinj and this version 9.0.3.

  • Fixed exiting on Mac OS. Orinj would occasionally not close
  • Changed how Orinj handles missing files when opening sessions, so the user gets asked once per missing file
  • Made sure banks are set appropriately when opening MIDI files without bank messages (see MIDI controllers)
  • Fixed the pan control when changing MIDI channel properties
  • Also fixed a bug because of which changs to the volume were applied only to one channel rather than all selected channels
  • Added undo for changes to MIDI channel properties
  • Disallowed zero length notes in the MIDI view
  • Disallowed overlapping notes on the same channel, since other MIDI devices cannot properly interpret that in the resulting MIDI file
  • Fixed a bug, because of which Orinj did not properly keep track of a loop (/wiki/orinj-working-with-loops) in a session after multiple changes to that loop
  • Added options to delete markers and edit markers with right clicks of the mouse
  • Added an option to set the precise value of an automation point with right clicks of the mouse
  • Fixed the automations in the bouncing echo, high pass filter, low pass filter, notch filter 2, phaser, and shelving filter as they were not properly tracking playback time
  • Fixed the delay automations in the delay and echo to prevent pops in the output in some cases
  • Fixed the dry mix and wet mix automations in the phaser
  • Made sure effect automations are removed when effects are removed
  • Made a minor change to the popup menus for automations so that they work as appropriate on the operating system (i.e., on pressing the mouse on Linux and releasing the mouse on Windows)
  • Fixed an error when saving presets in effects that do not have presets by default
  • Added presets to the shelving filter
  • Made a minor fix to the right channel in the chorus and bass chorus to make sure delays do not exceed the delay limits
  • Adjusted the chorus and bass chorus to get a better spread in the signal delays
  • Fixed popping in the chorus and bass chorus when automating the rates of change in the delays
  • Fixed a bug in bass chorus. It was not using the right channel polarity correctly
  • Also fixed a bug in the bass chorus and chorus to allow for undo when the left or right channel polarity changes
  • Added stereo and mono options to the chorus and bass chorus. In prior versions, the left and right channels always differed, and the effect was always stereo. A mono option ensures that the right and left channel outputs of these effects are the same
  • Improved how Orinj keeps track of opened effect dialogs so they can be updated or closed as needed
  • Rationalized presets for several effects: bass chorus, chorus, delay, echo, reverb, simple reverb
  • Corrected a bug in the echo that may crash the effect when switching presets
  • Fixed the drawing of sound blocks when these blocks are moved from one track to another (e.g., from an expanded track to one that is not expanded)
  • Improved the drawing of sound blocks on Linux when expanding or collapsing tracks
  • Improved the drawing of controls under the Carbon skin
  • Fixed a minor bug because of which the loop sample tree was hidden on every switch to the loop view when working with loops created with older versions of Orinj
  • Fixed how tracks show the color of groups in the Carbon skin
  • Added a slight transparency to the background of sound blocks so that the user can see when blocks overlap
